At Chariot for the Needy Foundation, we are committed to providing life-saving support and sustainable assistance to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across Nigeria. Through our IDP Support and Assistance Programme, we deliver essential relief, empower affected communities, and work toward restoring dignity and hope to vulnerable Nigerian citizens displaced by conflict, violence, and natural disasters.

Our Mission

Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of internally displaced individuals by providing emergency relief, access to basic services, and long-term empowerment initiatives. We strive to create a pathway for affected families to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society with dignity and hope.

Programme Objectives

• Emergency Relief and Humanitarian Aid: Provide immediate support including food, clean water, clothing, and essential healthcare to IDPs.

• Access to Education: Ensure displaced children have access to quality education through school supplies, scholarships, and safe learning environments.

• Livelihood and Economic Empowerment: Equip IDPs with vocational training, skill development, and micro-financing opportunities to foster self-sufficiency.

• Health and Well-being Support: Deliver medical outreach programs, psychosocial support, and maternal care for displaced families.

• Advocacy and Rights Protection: Advocate for the rights and protection of IDPs, working with policymakers to ensure their voices are heard and respected.

Our Approach

1. Needs Assessment and Community Engagement:

   • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand the unique challenges faced by each community.

   • Collaborate with local authorities, humanitarian organizations, and community leaders to deliver tailored solutions.

   • Provide vocational training in areas such as tailoring, farming, and small-scale business development.

   • Support IDPs in rebuilding their lives through sustainable livelihood programs.

   • Advocate for policies and programs that ensure the long-term protection and welfare of displaced individuals.
