1. Overview
Our Emergency Family Crisis Intervention Programme is dedicated to providing emergency family crisis intervention with focus on tackling issues associated with relationship breakdowns, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, abuse, drug and substance misuse as well as homelessness and suicide prevention in Ebonyi State and other parts of Nigeria. The organization’s mission is to provide immediate support, advocacy, and long-term solutions to rebuild lives and restore stability in affected families.

Mission: To restore hope, rebuild lives, and strengthen families in distress by providing comprehensive support services through emergency interventions, counselling, education, rehabilitation, and advocacy, ensuring the safety, health, and empowerment of families in crisis, fostering hope, healing, and long-term stability.
Vision: A Nigeria where every family thrives in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, free from crisis, domestic violence and abuse and instability with necessary tools to build a secure future.
Motto: "Healing Hearts, Restoring Families."
3. Aims and Objectives
Aims:
- To provide immediate and compassionate crisis intervention services to families experiencing distress or emergencies.
- To foster hope and healing by offering emotional, psychological, and practical support tailored to the unique needs of families in crisis.
- To build pathways toward long-term stability and resilience for vulnerable families through sustainable support systems and empowerment programs.
- To reduce the impact of family and societal crises through counselling, advocacy, and preventive programs.
- To advocate for the protection and welfare of families, promoting policies and practices that reduce the risk of family crises.
- To empower vulnerable populations with tools to overcome adversity and build stable futures.
Objectives:
- Provide emergency intervention for 20,000 families in crisis annually.
- Establish five family crisis response centres in high-need regions within five years.
- Train 10,000 individuals annually on conflict resolution, substance abuse prevention, and healthy relationships.
- Advocate for stronger protective laws for women, children, and families.
- Offer counselling services for relationship breakdowns, domestic violence, and mental health issues.
- Provide safe havens for victims of abuse, homelessness, or domestic violence.
- Facilitate programs addressing teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, and crime prevention.
- Implement suicide prevention initiatives with 24/7 helplines and intervention teams.
- Collaborate with government agencies, private sectors, and international organizations to amplify reach and impact.
4. Core Program Areas & Key Services
1. Domestic Violence and Abuse Emergency Intervention Services
- 24/7 Emergency Support helplines for family crisis emergencies.
- Temporary shelters for victims of domestic violence, abuse, and homelessness.
- Crisis teams to provide immediate support in high-risk situations.
2. Relationship & Conflict Resolution Outreach
- Deliver workshops and awareness campaigns to prevent domestic violence, and substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse etc
- Collaborate with schools and community organizations to educate young people about healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and crisis avoidance.
3. Domestic Violence Counselling, Rehabilitation and Therapy
- Provide free, professional counselling services for individuals and families dealing with trauma, relationship breakdowns, or other crises.
- One-on-one and group counselling for victims of abuse, drug misuse, and family breakdowns.
- Trauma therapy for survivors of domestic violence and children affected by abuse.
- Family mediation and conflict resolution services that mediate relationship conflicts to promote reconciliation and stability.
- Organize group therapy sessions to foster peer support among families with shared experience as well as emotional and psychological support for victims.
4. Teenage Pregnancy, Prevention and Youth Support:
- Conduct school and community workshops on reproductive health and rights.
- Create peer-led education programs to engage teenagers in open discussions.
- Provide specialized healthcare services and support programs for pregnant teenagers, including confidential counselling, prenatal and postnatal care,
- Parenting support & reintegration programs for teenage mothers with access to healthcare, education, and vocational training.
- Create society awareness and teenage pregnancy anti-stigmatization campaigns
5. Drug Addict Rehabilitation and Reintegration
- Run rehabilitation and recovery programs for individuals struggling with and affected by drug and substance misuse.
- Facilitate community awareness campaigns on drug abuse prevention.
- Family counselling to address the ripple effects of substance misuse on loved ones.
- Psychosocial support for victims to transition to independent living and their reintegration into society.
6. Legal Aid, Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns
- Provide free legal assistance to families affected by domestic violence, custody battles, or other crises.
- Public awareness programs on domestic violence, child abuse, and substance misuse.
- School-based campaigns to educate teenagers about reproductive health and drug prevention.
- Advocate and campaign for the enforcement of child protection laws, domestic violence legislation, as well as stronger laws and social protections for vulnerable families.
- Advocate for stronger local and national policies that protect family welfare and reduce risk factors for crises.
7. Livelihood Support/Economic Empowerment Programs
- Vocational training for women, teenagers, and families emerging from crises.
- Economic empowerment programs for affected individuals & entrepreneurship programs to foster financial independence.
- Facilitate access to financial support and other economic resources to support family financial stability.
